Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Galatians 3:6

Paul wrote his letter to the Galatians to clarify the Gospel and refute the ideas of a group known as the Judaisers. This group denied that we are justified before God through faith in Christ and His cross work alone. They claimed rather, that one must be circumcised (become a Jewish proselyte) and keep the law, which they claimed will save us in combination with the cross of Christ . (Acts 15:1)

Paul thoroughly exposed this teaching as erroneous with passion and exegetical skill. He also treated the subjects such as the use of the Law of God, Christian status, the New Covenant as well the believers life lived in the power of God’s Spirit.
